Kaurina’s: How a Dallas Based Company Won Over Costco & 7-Eleven

Hello everyone,

We have an exciting theme planned for our TiE Thursday event on November 15th. As mentioned in our previous email, have you ever wondered how those Kulfi’s sneaked into Costcos and 7-11 stores across the nation?

A Dallas based company, Kaurinas’, first came up with the idea. All thanks to an enterprising family that worked its way through to success.

With the holidays are around the corner, it is a good time for us to come together to hear a warm success story. We were able to get the founders of Kaurina’s (Mr. Hari Pritam Singh and Mr. Aman Singh) to fill us in with the coolest story from Dallas.

For those new to the term, ‘Kulfi’ is a dairy dessert and also known as the ‘traditional Indian ice cream’. Kulfis first

arrived in India from the Persians during 1500s through the Moghul empire. Several centuries later, Kulfis made more history when they crossed the seven seas and stormed the US market thanks to companies such as Kaurina’s.

Bring your kids and teens along. Let us regale them with this inspiring success story. If we get to the venue on time, we might even get to taste some mind-blowing kulfis from Kaurina’s for free!

While at the event, we will also fill you in with the longest running TiE Dallas event known simply as ‘TYE’. It is all about Youth Entrepreneurship. Over 120 students have gone through this unique program over the last six years. You can learn more about TYE and meet some Alumni from TYE. Listen to some young minds speak about their experiences and ideas.

We have more things planned for the coming weeks and months, including a pitch event, so stay tuned. Event details and registration are below.
